On Jan. 25, 2006, the Maecker School 5 th Grade proudly presented their 1 st Demonstration Concert. The Songs they played were: The FirstNote, Split Decision (Duet), Listen to Our Sections, LondonBridge is Falling Down (Duet), Fere Jacques (Round), Old McDonald had a Band, Ode to Joy, and Hard Rock Blues. They also demonstrated breathing exercises, a rhythm train, the mouth piece note, and their F concert note. Their conductor, Mrs. Moffet( Band Teacher) did an outstanding job in conducting the band. Also that night, there was a 5 th grade art show. It consisted of the student’s artwork they chose to be displayed. A few examples were: paper mache mummies, paper mache cats, and weavings.

We are from 5 th grade art class at the Maercker Elementary School, Chicago. We are fashion show cats. We all have our own personality and temper. But we can work well as a team.
