On Feb. 4, 2006, District 60 had its annual science fair. All science fair participants are sorted into 2 different categories: non-competitive and competitive depending on the student’s choice. Non-competitive is judged only by 1 judge and all of the students get the same reward. For competitive students are judged by 2 judges and can be rewarded 3 different rankings. Some project topics deal with every day situations and some deal with hard to explain ideas. The science fair allows adults and kids to work together to finish a project. There also was a spectacular science show. It helped children notice how fun science can be. Then the public got to view the science projects. After that the awards were presented to science fair participants.
