  • Read more books, and read more different books!
  • Go to local library to check 10 or 20 books out weekly or bi-weekly.
  • Go to bookstore to read books.
  • Go to Dollar tree stores http://www.dollartree.com/index.cfm, Where every book is $1:00 (Books are limited there)
  • Go to garage sales and you may find good books with average price of $25c to $1.00 each.
  • The Borders (Bookstore) located at the corner of 53rd and lake shore at Chicago. Most of book at a bargain price $2.99 to $5.99
  • Go to book fair http://teacher.scholastic.com/fairs/warehouse/, you may get significantly discounted books. (Some parents go to the book fair and buy > 100 books once a year.
  • Have birthday parties for your kids at bookstore and let kids read books there. Then you buy some their favorite books as birthday gift for them.
  • Bookstore gift cards are also pretty good, which allow kids to choose the books they like.
  • Ask relatives, grandparents, and friends send books as gifts for holidays, or family special celebrations.
