  • The Borders (Bookstore) located at the corner of 53rd and lake shore at Chicago. Most of book at a bargain price $2.99 to $5.99
  • Go to book fair http://teacher.scholastic.com/fairs/warehouse/, you may get significantly discounted books. (Some parents go to the book fair and buy > 100 books once a year.
  • Have birthday parties for your kids at bookstore and let kids read books there. Then you buy some their favorite books as birthday gift for them.
  • Bookstore gift cards are also pretty good, which allow kids to choose the books they like.
  • Ask relatives, grandparents, and friends send books as gifts for holidays, or family special celebrations.
