Language arts is better known as reading, English, and writing. Language arts is the skills that are taught to primary and secondary school students in order to make students adept in using the language. This subject’s purpose is to develops the students’ written and oral language proficiency. Language arts can be split into reading, composition, speaking, spelling, and dramatics. Grammar is an important part of language arts. Students are taught grammar in order to use the language correctly and learn the rules of the language. Parts of speech, for example, nouns, verbs, and adjectives, is another important part of language arts that students learn. In middle school, students will learn how to write more complicated narrative, persuasive, and expository essays, learn more grammar and spelling, read novels, improve reading comprehension, vocabulary, and knowledge of poetry. Language arts is another important subject to learn.
