August, 2007 I saw a young girl in this week, whose father was recently diagnosed acute hepatitis A. This is the 2nd exposed case for me in the last 8 months. The primary means of HAV transmission in the United States is person-to-person transmission through the fecal-oral route . Please see more information at

Please check your private insurance to verify the coverage of preventive care (Well-Check Visits) and immunization. Please notify our staffs or physicians if your child's health insurance doesn't pay for vaccine. We will help your child to get free vaccines.

The immunization guideline at Illinois requirs giving shots on or after 1st or 4th birthdays. Please come after their birthdays not before. Please, don't take poor little ones on their birthday for shots!!!

I got calls from the mother of 12 months old of girl who was accidentally fed 5 times of normal dose of Amoxicillin and the mother of 2 years old child who drank detergent solution. The suggestion is
Call poison center at (800) 222-1222 by parents and doctor. Then discuss on the phone for management with physician. |

If your kids take medications, please bring all of them to see physicians. If your kids have fever, please take temperature before you give any fever medications. If your kids have diarrhea, please bring the diapers with stool to the clinic.  |
